We are a small practice, and we intend to stay one. Every project is carried by the person who drew it, from the first sketch through consent to the last visit on site, with no hand-off in between.
We are interested in ordinary buildings done properly: schools, halls, houses, the places a town uses without any ceremony at all.
We work in timber where we can, in daylight always, and we would rather carefully adjust a building that already stands than replace it with something new. It is usually cheaper, too.
Transparency
We publish what we pay, what we bill, and how the two relate. The figures are reviewed once a year and put on this page.
Nothing about a fee should be a surprise at the end.

Certified practice
We are assessed every three years against a standard covering workplace, community and environmental performance.
The assessment is public, and so is the score.
Giving
A fixed share of profit goes to two local trusts, chosen by the studio and reviewed each year.
