“Viewing the place took twenty minutes and the answer came the same evening, which after three weeks of silence from other landlords felt almost suspicious. The flat was clean, the radiators worked in October, and nobody has yet asked me to chase a signature down a corridor. Two terms in and the only thing I have reported is a slow tap in the kitchen, which somebody fixed on the Tuesday morning without me having to ask twice.”
“I moved in expecting the usual student-housing compromises and did not get them. The rooms are quiet enough to read in, the kitchen fits more than one person at a time, and the paperwork was done before I arrived rather than during my first week.”
“What I notice most is how little I think about the building. Heating works, post arrives, the study room is free when I need it. That sounds dull, and it is exactly what I wanted from the place I sleep in.”

Questions people
actually ask

The things worth knowing before you sign anything.
Still not covered
by any of this?
How do I apply for a room?

Pick a layout, choose your dates and fill in the form online. If you are applying as a group, everyone should pick the same layout so the system keeps you together.

What does per-room renting mean?

You sign for your own room and pay only your share. If a flatmate leaves, their rent is not passed on to you.

What do I need to hand in?

A signed agreement, one form of photo ID and proof that you are enrolled. If your income is not regular yet, a guarantor covers it.

Is anything included in the rent?

Heating, water, wifi and the shared rooms are all in. Electricity is metered per flat and billed monthly.

Can I see the place first?

Yes. Viewings run on weekday afternoons and most Saturday mornings, and we will hold a room for two days after one.

What if something breaks?

Report it in the resident portal. Anything affecting heat, water or the door is looked at the same day; the rest within the week.

Can I stay over the summer?

Summer terms are available on shorter agreements, and you can keep the same room if you tell us before the end of April.
